Imperial Plaza Drive House Fire

January 20, 2012 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a house fire at 7509 Imperial Plaza Drive.  Firefighters found fire coming from a front bedroom.  The occupant of the home had self-evacuated but advised several pets remained inside.  Firefighters were able to rescue the five pets from inside the home.  The fire was contained to the bedroom area and was quickly extinguished.   There was a working smoke detector inside the house. No injuries were reported.  The fire's cause remains under investigation.
