December 30, 2013 -  The Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD) responded to a structure fire after neighbors called to report smoke coming from the eaves of the home at 10722 Windsor Woods Blvd. Arriving crews immediately made entry to search for occupants and found heavy fire coming from the basement, first and second floor of the home. As firefighters worked to locate and control the fire their efforts were hampered by the large amount of personal belongings and storage boxes throughout the structure.   Due to the structure's compromised integrity, firefighters moved outside to fight the fire defensively. One firefighter was evaluated at the scene after falling through the floor. He was quickly returned to service. The homeowners were not home at the time of the blaze and no further injuries were reported. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. TRAA, FWPD, Neighborhood Code, Nipsco and AEP assisted at the scene.
