January 22, 2014 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported detached garage fire in the 2000 block of Ellen Ave.  Firefighters arrived to find the one story garage fully involved.  It took firefighters 15 minutes to bring the fire under control.  The garage sustained heavy smoke, water and fire damage.  No other buildings were affected.  One firefighter was injured on scene and was transported to Lutheran Hospital with a knee injury.  The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
