November 25, 2014 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department was called to a possible structure fire in the 7900 block of Decatur Rd.  Crews arrived to find heavy smoke in the 3rd floor hallway of the north wing of the three story apartment complex.  Firefighters located and made entry to the fire apartment and were able to contain the blaze without further extension.  Several occupants from surrounding apartments were evacuated as a precaution until ventilation was completed and it was deemed safe for their return.  One person from the fire apartment was transported to a local hospital.  No other injuries were reported.  The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
