THE FWFD APPLICATION PERIOD IS NOW CLOSED.

Please read the following information carefully so you can be fully informed about the upcoming steps in the Ft. Wayne Fire Department hiring process.

• All information pertaining to the Written Exam on Saturday, September 26 2015 can be found in the Applicant Exam Letter in the Career Opportunities/Written Exam window.

1. Registration will be from 8:00 am – 8:45 am; you must be in line to register by 8:45 am or you will be removed from the process.
2. Enter the Grand Wayne Center (120 West Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN 46802) from the Jefferson street entrance…ushers will be in place to guide you towards Convention Halls B / C
3. You must bring a government issued photo ID with you for registration check-in.
4. If you are not on our applicant list, you must show proof of your application by providing the receipt you received when your application was submitted.
5. Allow plenty of time to find downtown parking and make it to the Grand Wayne Center before registration closes at 8:45 am. The Fort 4 Fitness race is happening at Parkview Field on Saturday as well…prepare for heavy traffic, crowds, and limited parking…  DO NOT SHOW UP LATE, IF YOU ARE LATE,  YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER…PLAN AHEAD!
6. If you have a valid CPAT card/certification that was issued on, or after, 06-26-2015 bring it with you. This will count towards your FWFD CPAT requirement.

 

• Saturday, September 26 will consist of the following:

1. Written Exam Registration
2. Welcome from FWFD Fire Chief Lahey
3. CPAT orientation / information session with DC Hostler
4. Written Exam Study Session
5. Written Exam
6. CPAT registration / sign up

You may leave once you turn in your exam and have chosen a CPAT option

Applications must be submitted by September 25th by 4 p.m. EST.
