Isaac Tire Building Fire

November 15, 2015 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Isaac Tire. The first arriving unit reported smoke showing from the structure and forced entry to find the source of the smoke. The warehouse and manufacturing area were charged with smoke and units were able to locate an air compressor that had overheated and created the smoke. The equipment was disconnected from the power and dry chemical was used to extinguish the remaining fire. Due to the size of the structure additional time was needed to clear the smoke from the building. The cause of the unit overheating is under investigation and the building was turned over to the building rep. No injuries were reported from this incident.
