January 12, 2012 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 2020 South Anthony.  Fire crews arrived at 20/20 Import Auto Parts to find heavy fire and smoke coming from the building.  Crews began the fire attack and were forced back to battle the blaze defensively/outside as a result of active flames, building content and structural integrity.  The fire started when an employee was using a cutting torch device to remove an engine from a vehicle.  The fuel line ruptured and the gas ignited.  The two employees inside were able to self-evacuate.  No injuries were reported.  The investigation is ongoing.  TRAA, FWPD, Nipsco, Water Department, Water Pollution Control, Homeland Security and Neighborhood Code assisted at the scene.
