April 9, 2012 - Just after 4:30 p.m. the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1414 Inwood Drive.  Upon arrival crews found the exterior siding of the one story home and an interior room on fire.  With some extension into the attic area of the house, the fire was contained and extinguished quickly. Ten occupants of the home were evacuated by the caregiver who sustained minor smoke inhalation and was treated by EMS and transported to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.   One of the home's occupants said she looked outside and saw the mulch on fire.  She attempted to put it out but because of the strong winds the fire spread quickly.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.  The home did have working smoke detectors.
