February 23, 2014 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 2900 block of Central.  Upon arrival to the two story home,  crews found smoke coming from a second story bedroom.  Six people were home at the time and safely self-evacuated prior to FWFD's arrival.  The fire was located and controlled in 9 minutes.  Damage was contained mainly to the room of origin.  Red Cross was called to assist the home's occupants.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
