Today, the Fort Wayne Fire Department received nearly 700 smoke detectors and 10 radiation monitors through a gift from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The smoke detectors will be distributed and installed in citizen's homes. The radiation monitors will be used to detect radioactive material in the event of an emergency. Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation provides funds, life-saving equipment and educational opportunities to first-responders and public safety organizations. Firehouse Subs has given more than $8.3 million to hometown heroes in 39 states and Puerto Rico, including more than $200,600 in Indiana. Thank you Firehouse Subs.
