July 23, 2014 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a report of smoke inside a structure in the 900 block of Rivermet this morning.  Upon arrival, crews found fire in an interior wall cavity on the 2 floor with some extension into the attic area. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and called for the extractor to remove insulation from the attic.  All six occupants of the quadplex had self-evacuated prior to FWFD's arrival and no injuries were reported.  The two story home sustained minor fire, water and smoke damage.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
