September 24, 2014 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a possible structure fire early this morning in the 1300 block of Curdes Ave.  First arriving units found heavy fire coming from the garage area of the one story home with some extension into the attic area.  While crews worked to contain the fire, firefighters also searched the residence.  Three people, two adults and one child, were home but safely evacuated prior to FWFD's arrival.  The fire was brought under control in approximately 30 minutes.  Firefighters had extensive overhaul to ensure all hidden fires in the attic were extinguished.  No injuries were reported.  The home sustained heavy fire damage with moderate water and smoke damage.  The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
