February 14, 2015 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 400 block of Sherwood Terrace W.  Upon arrival firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from an upstairs bedroom in the two story home.  Crews made an aggressive interior attack and were able to control the fire in 12 minutes.  Two adults, six children and their three family dogs were home at the time of the blaze and were able to safely self-evacuate prior to FWFD's arrival.  The structure sustained heavy fire damage to the upstairs bedroom with moderate water and smoke damage throughout the house.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
