April 18, 2015 - The FWFD responded to a reported house fire in the 3700 block of Arlington Ave.  Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the rear of the one story structure.  The home's two occupants were already safely outside with three pets.  One cat was still unaccounted for.  Firefighters made entry and located the fire in the basement area and quickly extinguished the blaze.  Another crew inside located the missing cat who was barely breathing and unresponsive. Crews administered oxygen outside the structure and the pet became responsive and alert.  No other injuries were reported.  Investigators determined the fire to be accidental in nature causing minor fire, water and smoke damage.
