Ensuring fire hydrants are easily seen and accessible can save valuable seconds in the event
of an emergency.  The Fort Wayne Fire Department is urging residents to keep an eye on fire hydrants on or adjacent to their  home or business this winter season ensuring they are cleared.   Shovel a path to fire hydrants from the road and remove snow from all sides so it is visible from the road, and easily accessible.  Also, keep in mind, parking is prohibited within 15’ of a fire hydrant at any time.
