April 22, 2013 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported modular home on fire in the 2700 block of W. Washington Center Road.  Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke coming from a single wide trailer.  After making entry, firefighters found heavy flames in the center of the structure.  The fire was quickly contained and extinguished.  The home's occupants were not home at the time of the fire, but four cats and one dog perished inside.  FWPD, TRAA and AEP assisted at the scene.
