April 11, 2014 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 2600 block of Buena Vista Drive.  The first unit to arrive found smoking coming from the roof of the structure.  Crews made entry and advanced hose lines into the attic area where the fire was located and extinguished it within 10 minutes.  No one was home at the time of the fire but firefighters were able to safely evacuate a pet dog.  The fire was ruled accidental due to an electrical malfunction.  The structure sustained moderate fire and water damage, and minor smoke damage.
