April 15, 2014 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1900 block of Hoagland. First arriving crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the one story structure. Firefighters made entry but were forced back outside after conditions deteriorated. Once crews were able to control some of the fire defensively, crews reentered the structure and extinguished the remaining fire. No one was home at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported. The structure sustained heavy fire, water and smoke damage.
