June 27, 2017 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a house fire reported by neighbors in 1000 block of Kensington Blvd. On arrival Truck 1 found fire on the exterior of the home, they entered the structure to search for possible victims and extinguish the fire. A fire was found in the kitchen which had extended to the attic and outside of the structure. Four pets were found, of which 3 perished and one was treated by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority Medics then transported by Fort Wayne Animal Control for further care. No persons were in the house and no one was injured during operations at this incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
