September 23, 2016 - FWFD personnel responded to a reported house fire in the 4600 block of Southpark Drive this morning. Crews arrived within three minutes of notification. Approximately half of the house was heavily involved in fire, threatening a neighbor's house to the south. Firefighters quickly determined that the house was abandoned and extinguished the fire, minimizing damage to the neighbor's house. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. Crews were assisted by FWPD, Neighborhood Code, AEP, and NIPSCO.
