July 5, 2014 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 5300 block of Standish Dr. The caller, one of five people at the home at the time of the blaze, reported heavy smoke and flames were visible but everyone inside was able to evacuate safely. Crews arrived on scene and were able to locate, contain and extinguish the fire in living room area of the two story structure. The home sustained moderate fire damage with heavy water and smoke damage throughout. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
