The Fort Wayne Fire Department added Station 18 in December 2005 in the Aboite Township area. Engine 18 is a 2005 Class A Triple Combination American LaFrance which carries 1,000 gallons of water and is capable of pumping 1,250 gallons of water per minute (GPM). Station 18 houses four firefighters and the Fort Wayne Fire Department/ Allen Co. Haz-mat Decon trailer.
