February 2, 2012 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department was called to a possible structure fire at 2011 Andrew Street.  Upon arrival crews found smoke coming from the home.  Witnesses outside the property said someone was still inside.  Multiple crews entered the structure and began a primary search of the residence and others worked to knock down the fire.  It was quickly determined no one was inside.  The fire was extinguished but not before the home suffered heavy smoke damage.  One firefighter was hurt on scene and transported to a local hospital in good condition.  Investigators determined candles left burning unattended caused the blaze.  TRAA, FWPD and Nipsco assisted at the scene.  (Photo shared by Holly B.)
