April 15, 2014 - Two adults and two children were able to self-evacuate safely after a reported house fire in the 1000 block of St. Mary's Avenue.  The Fort Wayne Fire Department arrived to find heavy fire at the rear of the residence with extension into the interior of the one story structure.  Crews were able to contain the fire and extinguish it in 16 minutes.  The home sustained moderate smoke, fire and water damage.  A neighboring home sustained moderate heat damage.  No injuries were reported.  The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. Red Cross was called to assist the family.
