November 2, 2014 - The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 500 block of Meyer Ave.  Crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the third floor of the three story home.  Firefighters made entry and were able to bring the fire under control in 16 minutes.  Three adults and two children were able to self- evacuate before FWFD's arrival.  No injuries were reported.  The structure sustained heavy fire damage within the third floor and attic area with moderate water and smoke damage throughout the home.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
