Aug. 22, 2016 - The Fort Wayne Fire Dept. responded to a reported house fire in the 5000 block of Webster St. On arrival firefighters found a one story wood frame house with smoke coming out of it. The first unit on scene arrived in about four to five minutes. Firefighters found occupant outside along with 3 dogs upon arrival. Firefighters found most of the fire was located in the back of the house on the outside. The fire had extended into the attic area of the home. Firefighter went inside and opened up the attic area to extinguish the fire. The fire was placed under control in about 10 minutes. There was Minor fire damage with Moderate water and smoke damage. The fire remains under investigation and no injuries were reported. Red Cross was called to assist with 2 Adults and 3 Children. Assisting at the scene was N.E.C., TRAA, NIPSCO, AEP, FWPD.
